FFH Concert Review
St. Cloud, MN. October 30, 1999 Jeromy Deibler is one of the best songwriters in Christian music today. This became evident after the first three songs at this packed concert in rur4al Minnesota. They started with "Take me as I am" and closed with "One of these Days" - two of the best songs I've heard from any CCM band on the last year. The sets were mixed and interesting. Although there was no backing band save Brian Smith on bass and Michael Boggs on sometimes guitar. But I guess the point with FFH is streamlined studio recordings with excellent vocal parts...and the songs. One set found the band sitting back and seamlessly transitioning into and out of praise songs and originals. This was the most impressive part of the concert. This was an evening of praise and adoration, with frequent diversions by Jeromy to talk about life experiences and the Gospel. He did an excellent job, captivating us with well-chosen stories and Scripture-backed views.
